About us:

 

Opportunity Sheffield is the employment and skills service within Sheffield City Council. We commission, deliver and oversee activity to support people into jobs, training, and career development.

 

Our programmes are aimed at breaking down barriers to employment, particularly for those furthest away from the labour market, while helping alleviate poverty and boost economic growth through skills enhancement.

 

To access our Pathways to Success and/or Ambition contracts, participants must:

​

• Be resident in Sheffield

• Be aged 18+ (or 16-17 to access our Youth provision)

• Have the right to live and work in the UK

• Be unemployed or economically inactive

• Engage with the programme voluntarily
